Gold Coast: Surfers Paradise

Surfers Paradise, the jewel of the Gold Coast, is one of Queensland's top holiday destinations. It has wide, long beaches, excellent surf, and a vibrant nightlife. With its apartment buildings towering into the air, the skyline is really something to see.
The Q1, with 77 floors, is apparently the world's highest apartment building.
I took this picture from a plane, so the quality is not very good, but it gives you an idea of the scale:
Some of the architechture is truly mind-boggling and can play tricks on your eyes.. The metermaids are world famous. Introduced by a local businessman, they put change in the parking meters if they notice that your time has run out. And leave a calling card under your windscreen.
Surfer's Paradise beach has been voted one of the best beaches in the world by the American travel Channel. There is just so much to see and do, we did not have nearly enough time.
There is even a beach especially for dogs. Look, our very own Scooby Doo..
Enjoy clear blue skies...
And if you are tired of shopping at Louis Vuitton, Prada, Gucci, Cartier... or the $10 shop...
...you can have a frozen yogurt or ice cream with any topping from M&M's to mango.
Definitely a holiday to remember!
And the residential development in Gold Coast keeps on expanding..
